If it turns out to be not that bad it’s because it’s not that bad. Our approach has been half assed and limp dicked to where it isn’t doing much

One of the reasons it looks disjointed is that within our constitutional framework, the states have the power to make these decisions, not the federal government. Each state has taken different approaches. I guess the proof will be in the pudding down road. There are a lot of angry people here, that much I can tell you.

Trump helped get Dewine elected and I imagine he is none to pleased with him right now. Pocketbooks will be affected for sure.

To be fair, this happened years ago.

I’ve said it in other threads, while I vehemently disagree with a full on quarantine, I think it would make me less angry. Because I could at least take solace in the logic is sound

This half arse discombobulated approach not only makes me mad because I disagree with it, it makes me mad because the logic behind it with helping stop the spread is dumb

Have no idea where she is getting her numbers from but if there is 100,000 infected in Ohio and our Hospitals dont appear to over run with people isn't that a good thing?

That’s exactly my question right now.

If 100,000 people in Ohio have it, why aren’t there anecdote reports that hospitals are overrun?

If in two weeks you don't see them overrun, either:
1)Her estimate is way off

2)this virus is incredibly mild

We live in a federalist system. Different states will respond differently.

That’s why it appears disjointed but it is actually the system working.

I want the governor of the state to do what he thinks is best. Each state will have different problems and different solutions required

Bc she’s counting the asymptomatic and mildly symptomatic that aren’t even going to a doctor. Think it’s something like 60-70% of infected people develop symptoms, and of that group about 80% are mild.

So idk what that math is exactly but the population of “infected people” needing hospitalization is very low. The problem is that it’s so damn contagious, even just that number can overwhelm a hospital when it gets up to 30-40-50% of a population.

It seems to me that the best way to prove/ disprove the theory would be to test a random sampling of the population. With test kits in such short supply, that isn't going to happen.

Well my point is nobody is going to listen to him anyway in Ohio

you were posting in the thread nonstop from sun up to sundown, a little different. I'm not sure if it was pathetic or impressive.

There are pretty big constitutional questions regarding the authority of the prez to shut down various activity.

I want to see these politicians like the Ohio governor that are truly for these rules and sanctions sack up and bring in armed men with guns to enforce it. Let’s see where the people really stand.

Yes, I know, I am an a-hole

Posting some info regarding treatments for CV19:

A systematic review on the efficacy and safety of chloroquine for the treatment of COVID-19

Chloroquine seems to be effective in limiting the replication of SARS-CoV-2 (virus causing COVID-19) in vitro.

Early, low-dose and short-term application of corticosteroid treatment in patients with severe COVID-19 pneumonia: single-center experience from Wuhan, China

Conclusion: Our data indicate that in patients with severe COVID-19 pneumonia, early, low-dose and short-term application of corticosteroid was associated with a faster improvement of clinical symptoms and absorption of lung focus.

Steroids are controversial. I wouldn’t administer steroids as they’ve been shown to increase viral load and replication in the early phase

I understand what you are saying but the idea is to try to limit a surge of initial patients since we don’t have enough information right now.

Having infected patients walk around sold out arenas is going to increase the spread dramatically.

I can understand the empty stadium approach. The complete cancellation makes no logical sense to me
