Dr. Amesh Adalja just said 50% of the US will get the corona...on Martha’s show. Said 20% came down with H1N1 and there was some immunity in the population. No prior immunity with the corona

More data on asymptomatic cases on the Diamond Princess. It's frustrating that this early in the game the data is noisy, but this is some mostly good news :

I think the general message is to limit large gatherings. Every person in an official position is trying to show that they are doing their part. I’m not saying it’s right, I just think that part of human psychology is unavoidable.

This isn’t good news. This is saying that they could have been infectious before they showed symptoms.
It’s not talking about true asymptomatics that never show symptoms.

This won’t be popular but as long as he means for the rest of time, it’s a very likely scenario. If he was trying to say in the next couple of months then there is definitely some fear mongering there.

This is something I also don’t get
I feel like I keep getting the message “don’t panic, it isn’t that bad. It’s a mild virus for the majority of people. BUT, let’s grind the economy and our normal way of life to a halt”
