they’re talking about on ABC is the drop in the economy the last month. Trying to blame the Donald.

I am watching ABC and they were saying they were encouraged that he was taking this seriously.

That really isn't going to do much at this point. It's already here in large #s.

I don’t think anyone is saying its going to be the silver bullet... But like I said a second ago, 13/14 cases in the Houston area are directly due to travel. The latest from Italy.

So stopping cases like that from continuing to infiltrate will slow down what could be.

Yep. it looks like The shite hit the fan. I don't think Trump did so good tonight. Looks as if he lost the battle. As before, shite has hit the fan.

I'm old folk and yes, I am not going to say that this shite doesn't scare me, more so due to the fact I am in heart failure. The wife and I have been trying to stock up on the really things we would need. It looks like there will be a very good chance I will be getting back to hunting for fresh meat.

A man has to do what he has to do.

Trump sounded very concerned.

I’ll admit I wasn’t very concerned until the nursing home outbreak but now I’m very concerned for nursing homes in my backyard and across the country. It might be time to shut them down outside of employees across the country, what do you do against a virus that can be transmitted from a younger healthy person which will probably be ok VS getting it started in closed quarters where the patient’s probably won’t be so lucky?

I keep seeing people praising the idea of closing schools. I'm not sure it's a good idea.

Stopping millions of kids going to school doesn't stop them existing, it just makes them go somewhere else.

Most parents work and those parents will turn to elderly relatives to watch the kids - sending them straight to the only group at serious risk of dying. Instead of helping, we could cause a surge of dangerously ill elderly patients to overwhelm hospitals. The elderly are just about the only ones that present with CV19 triggered-ARDS requiring a mechanical respirator, our scarcest resource. A sudden surge of elderly patients is what caused the "Hospacolypse" in early Wuhan and the disaster we're seeing in Lombardy. Healthy kids are at ~zero risk from CV19 themselves and their working-age parents are at near-zero risk. Leaving them where they are may save lives.

Yep. we watch our grandson 4 days a week after school. If it came down to it, SIL could stop working. My daughter makes the big bucks in their family.
