What is everyone's obsession with Amazon Prime? Their driver's suck and I don't want them anywhere near anything critical (or my house for that matter).

Also Santa Clara county has banned gatherings of 1,000 or more people.

Updated estimated daily test capacity for the US

ooks like it varies by state which probably makes this even more complicated. Imagine trying to coordinate data coming in from every state that has different reporting criteria and guidelines.
Part of the deal for Quest and Labcorp getting to skip regulatory review of their tests and gain FDA approval is they have to notify HHS/CDC of any positive tests.

Don’t know where that’s from but people on here have already debunked the narrative that the U.S is “behind” Italy. We actually had a confirmed case before they did.

For AZ we have a separate list for required reported communicable diseases for providers and labs. As an infection control nurse I report directly into an electronic database that immediately can be see by the state and local health departments. Some people still send paper faxes to report so that could also cause delay.

Im on a flight from SFO to Tampa right now. Maybe a few more masks than normal, but mostly business as usual in San Fran. My flight is a little light though. Got a whole row to my self.

Qualifying for a race is so important because you finish where you start.

Take SK off that list.
They regained control of the situation with aggressive quarantine but I think they had a waiting list 2500 long waiting to see so much as a triage nurse at one point.
The only reason why they lost control at all in spite of being proactive from the start was due to the actions of one cultish religious sect.
So you are left with a list of places that were never overwhelmed because they took aggressive containment practices from day one.
I mean what, HK and Singapore each had fewer than 100 or so cases?

SK is an example of how to regain control. Drive-through testing and an informed populace

13 downvotes and no responses?
the response and media firestorm coming from this is bizarre.
I’m not sure if it’s a test to see how completely the media controls the collective narrative and social hive mind or of its an actual crisis. I think it may be the test. And that scares me because it’s working flawlessly.
Trump wins
Brexit wins
China having open anti-communist protests
Citizens seem to be moving away from globalism and socialism
World economy soaring
China gets corona virus
Economy reacts
Virus spreads
Countries on lockdown
Media going insane
Populations freak out
Global epidemic announced
Something is coming. Something else is driving this story. And we should be more vigilant now than ever to the movies of our government and the global organizations that support global national socialism and control

Ask yourself which country's containment measures do ours most closely mimic?
SK, who has an extremely high test rate and self-quaratine compliance
HK, JP who had early and aggressive quarantine orders
Or Iran who had their ministers up on TV coughing up a lung saying "its just the flu, bro"
Why would our outcomes be like SK, JP, HK if NONE OF OUR STRATEGIES are similar to theirs?

Awesome.
So, about 16k per day.
That isn’t bad.
It is likely less than that, but I’ll take it.

You seem upset that the US death rate isn’t increasing like other places. Weird.

Do they know how Covid made it to the Seattle nursing home that killed all those people?
