What’s the play here?
Torpedo voting in the primaries?
Torpedo the economy?
An attempt to postpone or massively change the general election?
One thing I am absolutely sure of is the American Federal Government does not give a single shite about it’s citizens so what’s the real story here? What’s the end game?

Trump addressed this last night. Go to doctor and it will get taken care of. He will also be speaking again today iirc.
This is what needs to be done.

Hes doing a pretty good job handling and mitigating it. Very surprised hes not at fault, yet.
I find it funny he hasn't been tested. You know other people would get tested because they are the president, but he seems oblivious to it, for himself

And in the United States some government officials said that tighter restrictions on people’s movements might be needed.
LOL
good luck with that

I don't really agree. His "this is the flu" tweets are counterproductive and he should have fired half the CDC after they sent out bad kits.
But this is a step in the right direction.

Thanks for posting this, I have a question for scruff or anyone else that may know.
When Trump was speaking, he said that they don't have tests results from private companies (if I remember that correctly), if true, dont these companies still have to report to county/parish health departments?
Seems like reporting globally may need fixed to really help us out. I've also came to the conclusion that WHO is worthless.

I expect that we will have a report at some point that will give an increase in the numbers tested and positive cases, for good or bad, because those results will finally arrive.

The doctor is required to report it from what I understand
quote:
In the United States, the authority to require notification of cases of disease resides in the respective state legislatures. In some states, authority is enumerated in statutory provisions; in other states, authority to require reporting has been given to state boards of health; still other states require reports both under statutes and under health department regulations. Variation among states also exists among conditions and diseases to be reported, time frames for reporting, agencies receiving reports, persons required to report, and conditions under which reports are required. In many states, local health departments provide epidemiologic services; as a consequence, health care providers in many states are encouraged to report diseases directly to local health departments rather than to the state health department. Many states also have infectious disease-reporting requirements for laboratories, but these are not presented herein.
LINK
Looks like it varies by state which probably makes this even more complicated. Imagine trying to coordinate data coming in from every state that has different reporting criteria and guidelines.

I just got back from the UK (Feb 29th) so I’ve been keeping up with their status as well.
1) If this is a Democratic hoax, local news stations in Northern England are apparently in on it, when I was there the number of UK cases hadn’t breached 20 yet, and Coronavirus was still the leading story on all the news programs (beginning of Italy outbreak reporting).
2) It was still cold and damp, with it be becoming dark early as is typical for that latitude - so still prime cold/flu season. Plenty of people coughing and experiencing colds. However they’ve since done 25,000 or so tests on people with “flu-like” symptoms or travel history with a little more than 1% of those popping positive.
3) The BBC was better than the American news networks at keeping the reporting scientific and not political. Much easier to watch.

Where is Germany, Spain, Mexico, etc?
The US is low but there’s no reason to exclude countries we have data for.

One thing about it....people doing that hacking in public are going to get nasty looks and probably some comments thrown in.

I had that on the plane ride back to MSY (a few rows behind me, and on the other side of the plane).
That’s the issue with travel IMO, once you’re on location you can avoid the crowds and manage your risks - but nothing you can do if the guy in seat 8J decides to start coughing his was through a 10 hour flight and you’re in firing range.

semi-related
Can anyone explain why folks coming from Italy and South Korea aren't being stopped and examined when they get off of the plane? People are reporting they just waltz through the airport like it's nothing.
