I know they do a wonderful job of patting each other on the back, but why can’t they tell us how many test kits have been delivered, or how many people have been tested?
Private companies have taken over.
The CDC is doing a shitty job because they should be tracking that.

The CDC fricking sucks and that's the take home from this entire thing.

LD knows that Scruffy. And I'm pretty, pretty, pretty sure Scruffy knows LD knows that we both know. Problem is they don't know.

TEAMS in China are racing to solve the mystery of which wild animal at a Wuhan food market was the source of the coronavirus that leapt into people. Snakes, pangolins or bats? We just don’t know yet. What is clear is how seriously China is now clamping down on the trade in wildlife. Last week, the country’s highest authorities enacted a permanent ban. “It is forbidden to hunt, trade and transport terrestrial wild animals that grow and reproduce naturally in the wild for the purpose of food,” says the new law.

This was long overdue

The CDC has botched this whole thing from jump street.

The CDC has failed at its core mission and Trump needs to clean house once this is over.

According to that chart, we have 3x the capacity.

Wow. Can’t even hunt for food in China anymore?

Weren't there reports that the administration gutted infectious diseases leadership recently? Is that true or more bull? I can't tell anymore

Even if this were true, most states probably screw the money away that the federal government gives them. I wouldn't trust my state for example.

It’s $600 a test. Don’t think insurance will pay anything special as of right now.
Email from my insurance a couple days ago
"Your health plan is the last thing you want to worry about. You can get tested for coronavirus/COVID-19 without any out-of-pocket costs"

Trump addressed this last night. Go to doctor and it will get taken care of. He will also be speaking again today iirc.

That was propaganda.
Trump did push for broad cuts to a lot of bureaucracy at the start of his term, and the CDC was one of the ones mentioned, but Congress shot it down.
There have been zero cuts.

This is from WKRN in Nashville
This is the same school the first TN patient had ties to.
ETA: Another person down in Williamson County (Brentwood) tested positive.

I like the South Korea drive through. Get your test without infecting the whole waiting room and go.

I’m a fan of the virtual doctors visit and amazon test drop off for Prime members. Make it happen Bezos.
