The other has Zero cases. So there’s that.

This assumes you have an accurate report of all Corona infections. Are you claiming to have that?

Actually, no it doesn’t.
And I am not.

The Arnold's Fitness Expo in Columbus, OH didn't have insurance that covers infectious diseases. They will eat the whole cost of canceling the show.

Actually, not.
You just made a stupid statement.
You don’t need to be aware of ALL infections to determine these rates. If THAT is your standard is we don’t know anything about any disease because it’s impossible to know.
We have two well controlled independent cases that gave us decent data to what this does and to whom.
You are pulling out an unconfirmed situation that’s marginalized here because again, in the statement I assumed not a single person under aged 60 would die.
60 geriatrics in Italy died in the past 24 hours in not even the populous parts of the country. Series of towns containing a total of 50k people. Is your claim that they are just masses upon masses of old people that just aren’t getting sick?
Funny thing is y’all are probably get the trifecta.
Fear and event cancellations limits interpersonal contact.
Case rates fall as a direct result.
Fewer people become sick.
Claim validation that fear was unwarranted when that same fear is what stopped it.
And for the record, I’m still thinking an upward limit of 10k dead globally. Might budge it upward a little to 20k given how virulent it is for older people. Undecided on that.
But the reasons for that have nothing to do with “muh flu”

Also, in a turn of events I wasn't expecting, I have to cut some MDF tomorrow. The last mask I had is still okay, but I used it the other day cleaning out birdhouses. I used the same box of 20 masks for a few years. There's not a damn mask to be had where I looked today. If I survive coronavirus just to be done in by some lung disease in 20 years, I'm blaming the OT.

Looked at your map and I'm not sure what to think. My daughter is in France now. Niece in London. The list of student cities from my kid's school mini-mesters include:
Dominican Republic
Cuba
Romania
France
Italy
Spain
Uganda
NYC
Portland
Germany
Mexico City
Toronto
I wonder when they all come back in a week if they'll get some sort of quarantine. It's half of an entire HS in Plano, Tx.

First case in Connecticut. A hospital worker.
Also, there's a 36-year-old in Omaha who is seriously ill now. She was on a trip to England. Mildly sick for a bit, but had to go to the hospital Thurs.

The Omaha case will make headlines because it is a 36 yo
But the plural of anecdote is not data
The critical case rate among those under 60 remains low

Yup. There’s always bound to be outliers. Could also have an underlying condition that wasn’t previously discovered. To be honest, that’s the thing giving me some anxiety about me, my wife, or kids getting it.

Was about to ask if she had underlying conditions
I’m not really worried for myself or husband/kids. Although I work in a nursing home but I’m healthy and no real pre existing issues.
Now my parents both have heart issues that I’d call more than minor and are 71 and 75. Them I worry about more than me.

My bad didn’t catch that. Maybe some others didn’t either. It’s been a long time since we looked at page 1.
