All I am saying is that we have the ability to test.

Scruffy, blink twice if you can't talk because THEY are watching.
We'll come help. Maybe. But probably don't count on it.

Currently a 3.8% fatality rate for Italy, similar to Wuhan.
I think the issue with coronavirus will be the stress it will put on healthcare systems.

Yeah, if you look at the Chinese provinces that were able to keep the confirmed cases around 1,000, the fatality rate was pretty low.

A 36-year-old man has died of respiratory failure in Wuhan, five days after being discharged from one of the makeshift hospitals built to contain the outbreak, according to a report by Shanghai-based news portal The Paper.
The report, which was later removed, said Li Liang had been admitted to the hospital – built to treat patients with mild and moderate symptoms – on February 12, according to his wife, surnamed Mei. He was discharged two weeks later with instructions to stay in a quarantine hotel for 14 days.
Mei said her husband was not feeling well two days after leaving the hospital, with dry mouth and gaseous stomach. On March 2, Li said he felt sick and was sent to a hospital, where he was certified dead that afternoon.
The death certificate issued by the Wuhan health commission said the direct cause was Covid-19, and listed respiratory blockage and failure as the symptoms which could have led to his death.

This is not near a 3.8% mortality rate if you catch it, but nice scare.

It has mutated so to get the actual numbers it is gonna be difficult on know which strain is more deadly. everyone gonna be sick and crazy Except for me since I stocked up on masks, medical supplies, and food supplies and water and water filtration and fuel. But you know some say I overreacted. I just like to be prepared. Need to go get some ammo just in case people get really crazy.

Why is the death rate so high in Italy compared to SK?
Posted on 3/5/20 at 12:26 pm to HailHailtoMichigan!
I think Italy has an atypically old population.

TDH follows CDC guidelines of who to test, they are strict guidelines.
Plus or minus 10 Tennesseans tested so far.

I've read somewhere (maybe this thread) that this virus appears to be carried by animals (such as cats) and has been going back and forth to humans. Does the seasonal flu also act this way?
It can go from human to pets, but the viral load in pets has not been large enough to go back to other humans. Doesn’t seem to do well with dogs/cats as hosts. So pets can test positive, but they cannot pass the virus.

It is higher in Italy due to mutations and copypasta

This damn thread of doomsday seekers
That data point is bullshite to scare. It depends on so many factors. Age, health, sex, etc.
