What are you trying to show us?
That people in your age range don’t die nearly as much?
Your links show the same mortality rate that the other guy posted without any commentary but you had a problem with that

Your link clearly states that this was the initial estimated CFR

This is not near a 3.8% mortality rate if you catch it, but nice scare.
He is just using simple math for the cases right now.

Somehow he can’t comprehend that

You are just a old boomer trying to keep your head in the sand.

Darth,

3.4% Mortality Rate estimate by the World Health Organization (WHO) as of March 3 In his opening remarks at the March 3 media briefing on Covid-19, WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated: “Globally, about 3.4% of reported COVID-19 cases have died.
By comparison, seasonal flu generally kills far fewer than 1% of those infected.”
Initial estimate was 2%

The link also discusses the issues of calculating the mortality rate early in an outbreak.
This thread seems to have too many people hoping for an epidemic.
There is so much importance in the details, we would be wrong not to address it.
However it was cool to talk about how China was cremating 100,000 bodies a day

The guy was giving us the most up to date statistics without any commentary.
That’s what this thread should be
Exactly what is your problem? I think you need a break

Now if we want to talk about hypotheses why Italy is higher
1. They do have an older population. Especially in the area of largest outbreak, Lombardy
2. I just heard on a podcast that Italy was initially testing everyone with symptoms. Then they ran short on test kits so they are only testing patients A) that have a known contact to infected patient B) that is symptomatic and has a travel history to China, Korea, etc.
This will select for the worst cases

I just pop in once every couple of days to see if the world has ended and keep up with the current state of panic.
I apologize, everyone back to speculating.

You just pop in to make a fool of yourself.
Guy: mortality rate is 3.8%
Darth: *smashes keyboard* FRICKING DOOMSAYERS!
*posts link that calculates 3.4% mortality rate*
For the millionth time, most people here don’t think that’s the real rate. It should come down. Who knows how much. There is just a long way to go before we get to a rate where this is no big deal.

What could possibly go wrong

Yeah yeah it's Fox News but Dr. James Phillips says that the majority of us will get covid-19 but also 99% of us will be fine. Containment is simply impossible at this point.

Also, why can't they change this damn title? It's complete shite.
