There's still hope for KIA, though.

They are just trying to keep that ridiculous demand for the Palisade up IMO

If all you’re looking at is reported cases, sure.

But actions speak a lot louder. And the actions that we know of, do not indicate a “slow down”.

We will see.

Hubei in with 3,156 new cases and 65 new deaths. The rest of China typically rolls in over the next few hours.

Train hasn't really slowed down in Hubei at all. 1 in every 3500 people in the entire province has been confirmed with it already.

And yet, outside of China, the lid has been kept on this quite well.

I'm glad this is the case, but it's still way early. It didn't start exploding in Wuhan until 2-3 weeks ago.

I think you have but you are just thinking about how often I used to post, so it seems like it’s longer now, when I don’t post as often

#BREAKING: Japan news channel confirms 10 new coronavirus cases in a quarantined cruise ship

I've never beem on a cruise ship but that seems like the last place you would want to be when reports surface of a deadly virus outbreak.

It’s way more contagious than the Spanish Flu of 1918.

It's hard to compare these things.

Paet of the calculation of R0 is the contact rate. The same virus in New York City will have a higher R0 than that virus in Wyoming.

Not for long, I fear. With the #s in critical condition, I don't see how we don't end up with at least a few hundred more. Even if it doesn't spread globally as much, there's just so many critical cases in China.

I’m not sure if this is supposed to be reassuring or not but SARS numbers will be passed in a week or less

I’d like to know what their definition of serious is. Are we talking hospitalized or intubated in the ICU? Because 1 in 10 being serious is, well, pretty serious
