The numbers are starting to line up with the actions China took a week ago. 1500 serious or critical in Wuhan in addition to the 40-50 dieing every day.

Still not quite SARS yet, which accounted for 774 deaths if I'm not mistaken.

From the China Flu reddit, Thailand has not closed its flights to China and a lot of Chinese are using it as a transit point. Thailand is also not testing or reporting for fear of harming the tourist industry. If a self sustaining outbreak takes hold in the wider world, this may be where it starts.

I think that's it for reports from China for the night.

There are many reports from around the world of flights arriving from China and no screening being conducted.

There are reports that in many areas China has reached the upper limit of the amount of daily test they can run for new virus infections. Also, I haven't seen data on the number of suspected cases that have been cleared in China.

I was wondering how long it would take for you to show back up. You can't ever just leave a thread without having to take the contrarian position and pretend you're always right.

Too much stupidity in here for me to turn away at times. I'm sorry.

No, I suspect they are still under reporting. But there’s no question they were this time last week.

Sure they were. Tom Cotton knows. Well he doesn't really know what the truth is, he just knows it's a lie. Very convenient.

The only bright side of the coin is that there have been no deaths outside of China. It’s possible that outcomes in Western countries are on par with the flu. At least we can hope that is the case.
