We had an employee test positive -- she had only the symptoms of no taste .. no fever, no body aches, etc. So that is one way.
Likely have asymptomatic people as well ... RAPID TESTS need to be available at the door prior to entry to your shift.

It's heartbreaking. I'm working from home as I'm "essential" in that the state requires my services BUT the requirement to be in the building has been waived and was told by the home to work from home.
One was positive and on the meds -- she was walking around and talking and in no distress yesterday. Dead at 8 am this am. Not sure how it happened but it did .. her husband is her roommate there and bless his heart, I doubt he'll be far behind. She wasn't bad off healthwise either -- crazy mentally but that won't kill you.
This just sucks.

Very, lots of depressing and tough cases out there.... I feel sorry for the people.
However, what are we supposed to do? Lockdown every further and let the economy completely crash, people turn to drugs and suicide to cope, etc? It’s a bad situation either way, but what impacts the majority more.

I agree and so does CD -- said so earlier. It doesn't make it any less heartbreaking for me.

Just found out a coworker is on the vent ... not sure of her age but I'm 50 and she's older than me, has medical issues (htn, dm), is female and black. Such a nice lady and a hard worker.

That's right. We have to open things back up and just be proactive in taking proper precautions to protect ourselves. We can and should sympathize with the victims and their families. I was worried about the economy because of shutdowns when I was on oxygen in a hospital room.
We can have sympathy for people affected by this disease and also be in favor of ending the shutdowns and beginning to heal our economy.

Open buisness does not mean hosting another Mardi Gras next week or filling stadiums.
Open all businesses with social distancing measures.
Close waiting areas- people can wait in their cars and be called on the phone when it is their turn.
Lower capacity- retail can limit to 1 customer per 1000 square feet and restaurants can operate at 25% fire Marshall capacity.
Workers that engage customers wear masks.
No large gatherings.
This would allow people to go back to work in the Medical, restaurant, and hair cutting.

We have 6 dead so far and one was exactly like you are describing. 96 years but still walking around and sassy as get out. Would brag about still being in her right mind. Was diagnosed as positive and moved to covid unit. That day was fine but later in the evening O2 sat dropped some but was stabilized. Next morning they went in for meds and she was already gone.

Dang that sucks. We have 13 positive employees but I haven't heard of any on a vent.

How many beds in the facility? We discharged who we could from short term stay side so we were left with like 76 or so.
Four or Five in hospital holding their own last I heard earlier today and four deceased. The iso unit is full and they’re planning the next unit (not sure why why haven’t figured that out yet).
Several employees are ill — one who is now back and her only symptom was no/bad taste and smell. Sadly her grandmother is in the iso unit not doing too hot.
This shite stinks. And I still say you can’t keep things closed. It’s got to run the course and it won’t be pretty but this is just prolonging things.

The one who was a walky-talky was a full code — no reason for her to not be and she was doing ok. Went into resp distress and coded after the ambulance got there.

If that graph starts on a Monday (2/17), then it doesn’t make much sense, because today’s numbers wouldn’t be part of a weekly total yet.

Would it really need to be that far? I mean in my mind that's like 2 people being allowed in my house. Did you mean 100?
Not trying to be ugly-- honest question. I have no concept of how many square feet Target or Marshall's or Academy are.
