Has anything else come from the possibility that the virus was here earlier than what was originally thought?

That's why things are the way they are. Two Drs in Seattle defied government orders and tested one patient for Covid-19. Then next day tested more and found a dozen.

They new of possibilities in December as all hell was breaking lose in China we refused to do any testing and called it a Chinese Hoax

This didn't happen. Like, at all.

Fauci, the lead medical expert on this, called the millions of unemployed an “inconvenience”.

Show me one instance where Fauci or Birx have acknowledged the impact of this thing dragging out?

They’re too busy getting their 15m of fame. They don’t even want to acknowledge that an FDA approved drug is ok to take bc they want this thing to drag on so they can continue to be on tv.

Thank god Trump isn’t going to listen to them and is going to listen to the execs who run this country.

Speaking of 2000, USA becomes the first country to officially cross the 2000 deaths/day barrier.

Europe had over 4,000 today. The US is the only country in the Top 10 most populated countries that is actually aggressively testing and reporting numbers. It is highly likely that other high population countries are under reporting due to lack of resources and healthcare infrastructure.

Regardless, 2,000 is a grim number and hopefully we don't see many more days over that total.

Don't be a fool. Fauci is doing exactly what he's supposed to be doing. He has one perspective...as an infectious disease expert. His job is to give his advice from that perspective alone. It is Trump's job to take that advice into consideration and weight it with all other considerations, including the economy, and determine the best course of action. The economy should not be a consideration for Fauci. So everyone's bitching about him is really them bitching at Trump except they can't do that.

I thought China didn’t report its first death until the second week of January. If that’s the case, why would anyone in the US have known about this in December?

He likely does, from a virus perspective, but like I said, he’s going to weigh everything and not listen to them.

He understands the cure can’t be worse than the disease.

Y'all have been saying this for weeks now.

Is he ignoring his economic advisers right now?

Has he been ignoring them since retreating from his "we should open by easter" statement? Did Fauci and Birx override Trump's wishes?

Trump has been weighing all the opinions in his cabinet from the beginning on this. Don't get that twisted.

No, they prob showed him what is happening right now, that the data was showing the peak Easter weekend and he’s a smart man and what the optics would be.

That’s why he is putting a committee together Tuesday that includes execs from across the country, so they can recommend and plan the reopening and he can say “See, I did what the experts recommended”

So we're in agreement that it is trump's position, on the advice of his various advisers that staying at home right now is the best course of action and has been the best course of action for the last few weeks.
