I notice news from china today is that they have closed 11 of 14 emergency hospitals, and the nationwide delivery services are back to full operation. the rate of infection reported has fallen dramatically.

I have not heard of a logical reason for the reduction. vaccine ? quarantine ? masks ? chicken soup ? population is over 1.3 billion and it only affected 80,000?

looks like the Washington politicians are turning their interest to fixing the economy with cash giveaway's

maybe the tinfoil hat folks have a better answer. maybe it is an engineered virus that replicates 5 or 6 times before it mutates to a non hazardous virus

they welded people in their homes and dumped dirt on the streets to quarantine people.

Assuming the Chinese news can be believed, Draconian containment measures worked.

I'll know this is true for real when my jersey from DH gate finally arrives. It's been like 2 months and still hasn't shipped.

Their numbers are going down because they quarantined cities totaling over 50 million, which is simply not possible in the democratic world

So going literally door to door, picking up anyone with a fever and throwing them in a designated building and physically prohibiting exit doesn’t seem to have a logical connection with an expected reduction of cases

Hopefully never. I'd love if businesses here learned their lesson about trusting the dog-eating chinese for business and move their factories out of there.

They essentially jailed the infected against their will, tested everyone in a huge number square mile radius, and mass disinfected their cities.

They did some bad shite.

I saw a video of them dragging a woman screaming and throwing her in a metal box on the back of a truck against her will.

this is all bullshite, more and more i'm believing the chinese government started this, then with the insane quarantine and isolation overreaction in order to put the media into a frenzy and impact the american economy, and i don't believe one bit that it's almost over in china with so many people infected and how it is said to spread

You didn't hear about the massive quarantines?

They did incredibly draconian lockdowns. Like 1 person can leave a home every 3 days for food/supplies.

In conjunction with that, they also did a lot of tracking. That allowed them to keep track of who might have been near people who they found out were infected.

I saw another video where police on a toll road stopped a taxi because the passenger in the back took off their mask; they were scared he was a foreigner who might be bringing the virus back.

He spent 2 hours being checked and was taken to the hospital, eventually released but had to go back for 2 days; once to be tested for the virus and the next day for his results.

Things are a little easier to contain when you have an authoritarian govt.

The whole “personal freedom? Pshttttt lolol yeahhhh okkk” thought process makes dealing with things like this a lot easier.

Apparently, if you were suspected of being infected, you were allowed to self-quarantine. But they would either track your phone/call you at home/put tape on the door so they'd know if you left.

If they found out you had broken quarantine, you'd be told to not do it again or you'd be taken to the quarantine facilities.

If you broke it again and they found out, you'd get hauled away.

No it hasn’t. It’s gonna kill a lot of Americans with certain co-morbidity factors.
