I truly believe, if they hadn't made that stupid comment in a group chat, the girl wouldn't have been shamed and ostracized, there would have been no rape accusation in an attempt to salvage her reputation and they would have just had an interesting night and story.

I've said in this thread I think that the dudes suck, but I don't think they are rapist. In some perfect world someone stepped in and says this is a bad look, don't do this here, but we are talking about 18-22 year old dudes at 3 AM who are drunk and high, not a perfect world. It's easy as adults to Monday morning quarterback the situation.
