Was leaving work and crossing underneath the interstate on Tulane by the new med center NOPD blocked off Claiborne to let an ambulance by that had a police escort, then probably ten NOPD cars followed into the med center, all with their lights on. Once they let us go I probably passed 10-15 more NOPD headed to the same place. This was around 1:15, figured I'd get on here and see an officer was shot... Any ideas what was going on?

Guess this is it

So the article says "a 43 year veteran NOPD..."

Do you think they meant "a 43 year old veteran NOPD..." or "a veteran of 43 years with the NOPD..."? Journalists suck so bad these days.

Wondering the same thing. I mean it could be a 43 year veteran just as it could be a 43 year old who has been an officer for a long time.

Either way I wonder what happened.

damn, I was in that area earlier getting Satsumas from that produce stand off of Broad and Washington. I have been saying that area and MLK have been getting better.

Did you look at his picture? If that guy is 43, he's aged terribly.
