Do you have the same opinion about police directing traffic before and after football games?

He should

LSU doesn't pay taxes and the saints take millions of tax dollars every time they threaten to leave

Know how I know your ignorant?? They aren't hired by the church moron

I know for a fact some churches in Nashville hire off duty cops to direct traffic on Sunday, because it was a bit of a scandal up here about 10 years ago.

How is this even legal? Holding me up from getting my Tito's vodka on a Sunday morning is not ok by me.

Really no different than traffic control anywhere else

Seems like something you would whine about though

I love being able to get out of the church parking lot so easily.

They do it for any large gathering. It’s a safety issue not a religious issue.

if you can't see the difference between a group of 1,000 and a group of 30,000, then I can't help you

If you can't see the difference in location and infrastructure between a church and stadium then I can't help you.

If you starting this thread doesn't prove that you should be in church every Sunday...

I made the mistake of getting off of I-12 at the Abita exit a few years ago to get gas. We got caught up in this when that mega church that Orgeron belongs to let out. St. Tammany Police held us up until the entire place emptied.

I don't think you've thought this through.

Look, I'm against religion getting special treatment too. I think churches should be taxed. But you're just plain wrong. It benefits us to not have a complete traffic cluster when they let out.

Of all the special treatment for religion we have in this country, you pick this?

I find that most people that would attack a certain group in such a manner does so out of some sort of pathology.

Were there traffic control coming out of a Phish concert or truck rally, would you feel inspired to come start a thread about it?

Tell us what the underlying issues are.

Did you have a parent or grandparent that wanted you to go to church and you always felt like you let them down because you didn’t?

That traffic control by the cops made you think about how they didn’t seem to love you enough because you were not into church and gave preference to your siblings and/or cousins that did.

Just let it go.
