Cops stopping traffic to let church goers in/out. I'm not a fan.

Good for you for celebration of your faith with like-minded people. No need to hire law enforcement and decide that traffic is yours to control as you see fit.

How is this even legal? Holding me up from getting my Tito's vodka on a Sunday morning is not ok by me.

I think it’s more to prevent accidents than do traffic favors for church goers

If God is with them it is a brave strategy to be against them.

The accident should just be an example of God's will.

If you’re drinking straight vodka from a flask at 10am on a Sunday you’ve got some problems.

1) they are hired to do traffic.
2) they do the same after High school sporting events, funerals, college sporting events, concerts, etc
3) why does religion have anything to do with this
4) the purpose of intersection traffic management is to even the flow of traffic. During these special event, traffic patterns are different then normal. Hence the need for cops....

These cops are usually hired directly by the church but still wear their uniforms.

I’m against it, too.

If they’re being paid by the church, they shouldn’t be in uniform and should be stripped of their rights to ticket and/or arrest.

I understand that. I see your attempts at an explanation. While appreciated, I don't agree with it. The same group that gets tons of tax exemptions seems too quick to utilize those same.public services as they see fit. That is why I bring matters of the faith into the discussion. They do not pay into the system. As such, I take issue with their abilities to benefit from it.

People of the faith have been waiting literally millennia for the second coming. What will a little more waiting hurt?

Better than them sitting in the median checking stickers as everyone leaves.

We had a turd motorcycle cop who did this every Sunday morning.

To be fair, the vast majority, and I mean vast vast majority of churches don't do this. I can't speak for the one's that do.

Agreed. The message that I get is that they don’t love Jesus enough to be slightly inconvenienced when they’re leaving church. Sad.

They could have installed a light and held you up 7 days a week, seems like you should be happy they didn’t
