Damn! How convenient the video doesn't start until she's already on the ground. Still showed her acting an arse, yelling at police officers to get the frick off of her, and resisting arrest.

There are very few scenarios that should start as a seatbelt violation and end with the perp being dragged from their cars. Cops don't like no lip though.

Completely agree. However, it's easy to criticize when you only see the end result.

So now we're good with people being pulled from their cars and beaten on the side of the street for simple traffic violations? Welcome to the new normal I guess.

Did she really get beaten up for not wearing her seatbelt or was there confrontation in between? Not saying they should have done this or anything but these articles always get posted on here with titles to the effect of "Person beat up by cops for just standing there." Like...maybe a little misleading? Maybe something saying pulled over for no seatbelt, argument ensues, woman becomes irate and then cops act violently?

So you witnessed what happened to get her into that situation? Hitting her wasn't right but you don't just end up cuffed like that just because.

Doesn't matter. Once a person is face down on the ground and she isn't a threat, she shouldn't be punched in the face. That guy was wrong.

I am pro cop, but you can't do this. You have to assume you are on video at all times these days.

At least the motorcycle cop was nice enough to pull her skirt back down.

Its simple. Put your heads behind your back and there won't be any problems. Although the video did not reveal what happened BEFORE she was on the ground, it showed she was obviously struggling and resisting enough such that the other cop had to call for back up. If she would have done what she was told, they may have had a date later on.....

Cops always have a bouncer cop telling people to get out of here and stop filming. Because no one needs to see what we're doing.

Imagine if you had to watch 4 grown men beat the hell out of your wife/sister/daughter while one told you to stay back with his hand on his gun. And it all be legal. frick

Something happened minutes prior to this. She was asking them questions while they were peeved with whatever/whomever they were investigating or doing (or both).

I´m SURE she´s no angel, and has quite the potty mouth.

They then later found her in the vicinity, and the no seatbelt gave them their opportunity to stop her (I believe there was ´unfinished business´).

I´m sure it escalated with the quickness.

That said, I don´t know who´s in the right.

In July this year, the San Diego District Attorney dropped felony charges against Hahn for battery on a police officer and resisting arrest – which her attorney Mark Geragos says was due to the video.
However, she is going ahead with the lawsuit due to the ‘senseless act of egregious police brutality’ and wants the police officers involved fired and reformed. Court documents alleged that they lied about the incident under oath during Hahn’s criminal proceedings.

Said video resulted in the dropping of her criminal charges, and a perjury accusation against the officers.

So the DA obviously didn't give two shits about what happened in the preceding 5 minutes. Thugs got caught being thugs.

This is my take as well. She asked what was going on, and they (as cops often do) told her to mind her business and beat it. Then they go back and target her for a seatbelt violation with her kids in the car, probably because she was mouthy to them originally. Still sad to see that these fricking imbeciles still have such low self esteem that they can't handle people saying things to them.

Cops lying under oath about the situation to help her get a felony charge is just terrifying on top of the whole thing.
