If that’s the law, then yes. If a homeowner spits on an antagonistic intruder on his personal property - who was previously involved in a legal skirmish with him, then that’s exactly the limitations of what a cop can do, unless there is other behavior involved that could be criminally charged.

Cops make a lot of money. I pay them $50/hour for private security to sit in their cars and do nothing, between overtime and private work they can easily make $100k or significantly more

It's pretty funny, honestly, because I do know people that are actual scary human beings. I've had the privilege of training with UFC fighters, retired Bellator guys, ex Delta, Rangers, a few SEALs mixed in there and the overwhelming majority of these people that could actually destroy you are some of the least likely humans to get into a physical confrontation. Take Jocko for example and how he just outright says if someone wants to fight him, he's going to try to run away. The cost/benefit ratio just doesn't favor you in a fist fight.
I've seen too many "undefeated street fighters" and "I don't take disrespect from anyone" come into the gym and get absolutely throttled by my training partners, most of whom are just regular joes, over the years that I just assume that if someone claims to be a badass, particular over the internet, the odds are they're a "I see red and bodies drop" kinda guy and thus not very dangerous at all.

The first time the homeowner told them to leave they headed back down the driveway. They were actually walking away facing forward leaving when the idiot emerged with a gun and escalated the situation as cops are trained to do. If you watch enough of these "audits" you have to logically conclude that cops are universally trained to escalate early and often because they do so without fail and often enough to have hundreds of videos a week uploaded of them doing it.
