The state legislature of TN has had to put together a special committee due to the number of false DUI arrests from bad cops. Over 600 people falsely arrested.

I'd love to converse and perhaps debate- but you already shite on two posters and I'm not into that. I repeat, kindly, have a good night.

Sally,
I am not referring to arrests of people that are legit DWI, I am referring to cops pulling people over because they know they are coming from a bar and lying about the reason they pulled you over

Cool beans. Yeah... I've seen cops parked two addresses over from a bar just waiting on easy bait- it sucks and I don't agree with it.
I'm still gonna be a bit spicy over actual DUIs... I had to pluck rear glass out of my son's hair and watch the perp get taken down by FOUR officers, one HP and three county. I was first car at the redlight and still count my blessings we weren't hit after being pushed into the intersection by a friggin hummer towing a boat.
Fishing for violations is different than coming across them, I agree.

DWI’s are the most popular for cops.
Here’s where I know you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about. None.
Most cops haaaaate DUIs. They’re an extremely paperwork intensive arrest for just a misdemeanor. You have to go to a Driver's License administrative hearing to get their license pulled (a “DHSMV hearing” here in FL). Ours were usually at 0830 or 0900, so if you worked mids and go to bed at 0600 or 0700 you’re not getting to bed until 1030 or so, just to make it to roll call that evening. No one likes to go through all the procedural hassles for that.
Quit making shite up to sound edgy about things you have no conception.

Yeah he posted this the first time he went on this rampage and it happened in Texas and in Texas The fines can go up to $2000 that doesn't mean they are all $2000 they can go up to and that's usually as I'm sure you're aware of in extreme cases where there's been property damage and accident or something else
Counties don't make a ton of money off prosecuting drunk driving
If there's an ongoing very public enforcement, it's probably because there's been a rash of incidents and the cops are coming in in force,
and being very strict to try to scare people not to drink and drive

Cops ain’t your friend.
Biggest farce of 2020 is that cops are this bunch of freedom-loving MAGA patriots. Cops are the big union red guard of the statists.
I don't know what people really expect.
The job is shite, you're dealing with shitty people all day and they're all negative interactions for the most part. Combine that with the shitty pay and you're mostly going to get low IQ meatheads on a power trip, who have little to no other options.
These guys generally don't know the laws and they really don't care.
ETA I'm speaking in extreme generalities of street cops, especially in the South and Midwest.

True, oh so true. Had a parish sheriff dude brag to me about getting stopped one night by a state trooper and when the trooper saw who he had pulled over, the told him "M....s, you know better than to be be driving in that condition, I'm going to follow you home.........................",
Ol duckblind would have been cuffed and hauled to the gulag.

There's a detective in Gulfport, MS that got a DUI or DWI in his city issued car by the Highway Patrol, it made the news and he still is employed.

I had a vice cop drive me home from an overnight shift with a cold one popped open between his legs... I was appalled, he thought it was funny. Augusta, Ga 1998...

Where's the part where mister lawyer man reminds his viewers that domestic problems are one of the biggest cause of officer deaths? Or tell his viewers not to play lawyer on the side of the road.

Worse.
Came off a ten hour waffle house shift at 7am.
edit to add, he had breakfast at the end of my shift and offered me a ride home- I didn't have a car and trusted Mr Richmond County to give me a lift.
