We've talked about Huntsville some in the past.

The wife doesn't want to live around Birmingham again. Most of her family is around that area. She prefers a little distance

I get it. My wife's family is from New Orleans, I;m from Virginia.
Neither of us wanted to really move back to either hometown. Can't really say why because we like our respective families.

Where do you run into Hog fans that hate LSU? I no of no one up here that gives a crap about LSU fans.

Unless you are walking around with LSU gear on, with neck and forehead tats, and cussing out loud as if you are POS trash, we don't care who you root for.

ETA: I have a soft spot for LSU people. I lived in between BR and NOLA for around four years. While Louisiana wasn't ever going to be a long term destination for me, Louisiana has some damn fine people. I never thought LSU people were anything other than gracious and hospitable.

Literally everywhere in Little Rock. When I’m in NWA visiting my SIL I wear LSU gear and no one even bats an eye. People in LR get all butt hurt.

I did have one crazy white trash arky fan accost me at the AR LSU game in 2018. We were a few rows in front of her and she started screaming crazy BS at me, some male hog fans told her to sit her arse down and then apologized to me. It was fun

I think you also answered your own question—you love Louisiana people because you actually lived down there and experienced the amazing people. Everyone up here who talks trash about LSU fans being trashy, etc, are literally the only ones who’ve never once been to Louisiana or attended an LSU AR game in Baton Rouge. They told me we set their cars on fire back in the 2000s and ganged up on their fans next to the stadium, pushing old ladies and such. I about died laughing. They just “heard” it from their friend who DEFINITELY was there and saw it with their own eyes. Lol.

I absolutely agree on the airport. You can park in covered parking literally less than 50 yards from the front doors of the terminal.i fly a good bit
From there, it’s amazing easy, incoming or leaving.

Havent been to fayetville except to play ball once 28 yrs ago.

Lived in metro greenville for 3 years and LOVED it, so thats my vote.

Airport, housing, industry, progressive but conservative, hospital system is amazing. Doesnt feel like a big city but has everything they do.

8-9 hours from Nola. Prob 6-7 to VA.

email me if i can answer any questions. Tddomincdecoco@gmail

NWA is beautiful man. The whole state isn't Pine Bluff.

Nah. My wife grew up in rural Alabama. She's definitely not snooty. She's just grown to enjoy things like Uber and delivery food.

Bentonville would be my choice, great downtown area.
Bentonville has cultivated a really cool downtown area. I just don't like the Benton County Sheriffs department, they are arse holes. Fayetteville cops are cool, as is the Washington County sheriffs department.

the bike trails are awesome if you’re into that.

Absolutely. If you like to ride, run, or walk, there are over 150 miles of paved trails, with plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops along the way.

I had to make this similar decision, as well. Was considering NWA/Greenville/Huntsville/Chattanooga.

I chose NWA. In fact, I just moved into my new apartment in Fayetteville today.

But I'm a single young working professional, and for me personally, it checked most of my boxes.

I've visited NWA for a total of 8 days before moving in and was sold on the place.

We are an early/mid 40s married couple. Our youngest is 13. We are just considering a nicer place for her to finish growing up and to get old in. BR is too violent and I'm tired of paying 13k for private school.

I'm 31. Yup, I know where you're coming from. I'm 4th generation San Franciscan, but San Francisco is a disaster nowadays. Leaving my parents, but they're only 60, and I may be able to convince them to move out to NWA, as well.

And no, I won't be voting for the same shite where I came from. Just like not all of Arkansas is shitty, not all Californians are crazy.
