This study found that 58% of CEOs are Republican, 18% Democratic, with Republican CEOs leading larger companies.

LINK

This one claims that about 70% are Republicans, with Democrats making up roughly 20%.

LINK

And this one focused on actual donations found 57.7% consistently donated to Republicans, 18.6% to Democrats

I'd be interested in seeing where your numbers are from.

Did you ask for fees? If so, what did the court say as to why they didn't award them?

Almost everytime (3x). 2 were California and 1 was elsewhere. We counter sued and from what legal said it was dismissed (with or without prejudice whichever is the judge basically saying frick off). The other time we didn’t because we have found it pointless - getting that paperwork in order isn’t free and it seems like it isn’t something that works out.

If you can lay off 25% of your workforce you have way too many employees

AI and overseas tech/eng positions to India

It's less AI and more using AI as an excuse/cover for moving stuff to India or replacing citizens with H1B.

AI really stands for "Actually Indians."

Not coincidentally, India is proving to be one of the biggest users of AI. Shitty overseas workers that don't speak English well, feeding requests that they don't understand into an "AI" that often hallucinates and gives false info is going to work out swimmingly, I'm sure.

Nothing is going overseas. Controllable cost up almost 20% since 2021 (per barrel metric). Not a good metric next to competitive peers. Company has demonstrated sustainable growth but the costs are climbing. All the majors are doing the same right now. Margins are tighter and given the fact that COP is not integrated it narrows the competition even more. Thanks to Jim Mulva (former CEO) they don't have the money press that is refining anymore.

Streamlining after they acquired Marathon I'd imagine.

Everyone is reducing their workforce. If your job can be done by a computer you should be worried.

Marathon impacted only L48. Cuts are company wide and global

HR does way more than that… make sure your benefits, insurance, 401k, etc. are in line every month, etc.

Accounting is usually a part of it as well.

You can.

They can sue you for it, but they won’t win.

I agree that they are a great resource when the insurance company is being a pain in the arse.

Sucks...not going to be fun for those folks in this job market.

The defense contractors are hiring at all levels. Just in South Arkansas, probably looking at adding up to 3-4000 over the next 2-3 years. Pay scale is climbing as they compete with each other for hires. May be some jobs opening up in the lithium sector but will be a bit.

That… and simply making sure carriers are paid, transmission of info is correct, etc.

You’d be surprised how many times insurance is lapsed bc the file feed, etc didn’t come over in time, or there was an error.

That stuff doesn’t get caught, or fixed, without HR.
