Note: because I just don’t is a fine answer. Not everything has to be based in logic

i dont hate people using edibles or even smoking in their own homes

but i despise the smell in public and its everywhere in places like Cali and even when i was in maui and NYC

i also think for many, its not a good thing in terms of being motivated to be a productive citizen but that is a crap shoot. for some its fine and a way to unwind, similar to a drink. others it is something that becomes all they care about....similar to alcohol mentally, not physically at least in that regard.

That’s real weed, this won’t do anything about that

The vape shops sell plenty smokable legal weed too. It’s not all gummies and drinks.

There seems to be somewhat of an inverse relationship between THC and alcohol consumption

Have a few drinks and then cap the night off with a gummie is a great relationship

This isn’t going to do anything to prevent that. Don’t visit those places if you don’t like their laws. If you live there, vote to have the laws changed.

McConnell did this because the ultra wealthy bourbon companies in Kentucky felt they were losing business to the hemp producers.

the laws currently there do not allow for that

and I already said I do not support this legislation as I am smart enough to know, just because I do not like something, doesnt mean i need to force my views onto others

go read the thread before coming in late.

Just because I do not like, doesnt mean I support this law. I do not want any federal law on this. its a states rights issue imo

In NYC it is legal to smoke weed anywhere you can smoke a cigarette.

Not sure about Hawaii.

ok i was wrong on that, my bad.

imo should be similar to alcohol and open container laws but I dont live there so up to them.

but i just looked, it is illegal to smoke in parks, any business or any event space and says not in "public spaces" and this is certainly not followed or enforced.

Recently in Madison MS, a middle school kid somehow ordered THC gummies online and gave them to his 6th grade classmates. All the kids had to get drug tested at local urgent care clinics.

It’s amazing how many posters dont understand that this isn't being done altruistically. This is 100% the alcohol lobby.

Don't get me wrong, I like to drink, but to think this is good is just dumb. THC is far safer than alcohol.
