I was just more afraid of him being shot because he's a black dude with a gun...

Sounds like he's in more danger of shooting himself. Of course, that would be black on black crime so it doesn't count

To be honest. I'm afraid of my firearm. I go to the range to practice, but I'm afraid to actually fire.
If this is how you feel then you should reconsider concealed carry.

This is one of the saddest things I've ever seen on here. And I've seen peej use this place as his journal to detail his life falling apart.

So what do you do at the range? Stand there and try to muster the courage to squeeze the trigger?

Louisiana recognizes permits from states that recognize Louisiana. Alabama being one of them. You'll have to read a little further to see if they have a duty to inform law if you are stopped by the law.

Sounds like you have a cart before the horse situation.
What you should be doing is getting training- and lots of it- before you even consider carrying.

As for carrying in other states, it is your responsibility to know their laws.

Here is a link to the Louisiana State Police Concealed Handgun Unit- it covers all of the rules for LA.
Once you get training, I suggest reading it like a Bible.

I don’t see this ending well. You should return the gun and buy some mace. It’s like buying a car without knowing how/why/when/where to get a drivers license. Scary.

Become educated and comfortable, then explore cc.

Just so you know, you can’t carry in NOLA. Everyone in the city abides by that law too

In that case, maybe instead of using your gun for self defense you can just keep it in your purse and use the barrel to store your tampons

Ha ha.

I have my gun for self defense. Sometimes I go out to bars and clubs where there are "men of questionable character".

Also, with racial tensions at an all time high, I need precautions against whites who wish to do me physical harm.

For the love of god do not carry.

Seems like what we need in the world are more people who are reluctant to pull out a firearm. But carry on

So now you want to carry at a drinking establishment? enjoy sitting in prison for the rest of your life in about a year
