Concealed carry in Louisiana/ Alabama

Just bought a new handgun. Does Alabama have CC laws for guns like Louisiana?
If I get a CC license in AL, would it be legal in LA?
Where can I legally CC? Most places don't allow it (stores, restaurants, etc.)

I worry about you carrying honestly. But if you must, carry the CCL on a lanyard around your neck. Be very careful if stopped

To be honest. I'm afraid of my firearm. I go to the range to practice, but I'm afraid to actually fire.

You can carry in most places. You cannot carry in places that explicitly have a sign forbidding it, government buildings and establishments that make most of its money through alcohol sales.
But given your fear of your own gun, do us all a favor, and keep it locked up. Someone without the confidence in his own ability to use his gun is just as dangerous as a stupid, arrogant a-hole with a gun.

LA and AL have reciprocity laws to accept each other’s permits. However, you just have to pass a background check in AL as opposed to LA (I think). You’ll need to research the laws on where you can and can’t carry you’re weapon. I don’t remember all those.
ETA: just read where your scared of your firearm. I was scared of pistols at first first since I was never around them growing up. We had rifles and shotguns though so those weren’t bad at all.
Do what I did and continue to practice. Practice shooting, drawing, taking it apart, putting it back together and you’ll gain the confidence to handle it like any thing else in this world.

Seriously, if you’re afraid of it why have it?
Wouldn’t you be better off with Mace or a taser?

Then you shouldn't nearly be worried about carrying. Get lots of training and lots of supervised practice before you even consider using a gun for self defense.

You should have confidence in handling your weapon. I don’t know what your fear is. ( noise, recoil, etc.) Proper training and practice will help you. Practice, build your confidence, then carry. Good Luck.

I think I got mine in 2010. So far I haven't carried on my person a single time since I got the CC. But with all the reciprocating states it's a pretty simple way to sidestep all of the conflicting laws/policies/personal opinions of individual cops when it comes to carrying in your vehicle. I think I had to take a four hour class taught by a retired cop who I'm pretty sure was dead wrong about several of his legal points.
I've got a buddy outside Savannah who is originally from Long Island. He loves to tell the story of how he accidently got permitted.
". . . and that's how easy it is in GA."

Do everyone a favor and do not leave your house with your gun.

There is reciprocity between AL and LA. I have mine in AL and it is honored in La. For you sir, with the posts you've made...I'd recommend you get some serious training before leaving the house with a firearm period. If you're trolling...then you've made yourself look like an arse.

Go to your local sherrif dept and ask them what the laws are.
But for goodness sake don't carry a weapon if you are afraid of it.
