It was nice being able to play with my kids outside and get a run in all in daylight

Kind of insane how many times this same stupid thought is repeated in these threads. You all live in society, it’s extraordinarily easy to understand

This. As if the "it's the same amount of daylight in a day" is some sort of gotcha. 99% of us who are unretired have lives that revolve around this thing called time

like it getting dark at 6pm, that’s my bedtime.

You must also like it dark when you wake up then?

It was already light out still until after 630 right before DST.

Blackout curtains. It's easier to make it artificially night/dark in one room than artificially light up an outside area. Seems like one way or the other, this doesn't make a difference for you.

replace man with idiot and or slave and you're correct. Glorifying your work so that it takes up that much of your time is absolutely idiotic. You have my pity.

It sucks. Just last week I could pretend like I was ready for bed at 530 because it was nearly dark. Now I have to wait at least another hour.

Just joking. Love having some daylight after work....nothing worse than going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark....

I wake up at 3am. It’s gonna be dark.

I have blackout curtains. I just wake up at daylight even if I’m off.

Did we do it?

Did we save the daylight?

I have saved so much daylight I can barely close my garage door.

True, but only because of the switching. For anyone advocating for permanent DST? It’s nearly half the year

if we kept this stupid DST all year it would be dark at 8 a.m. in the morning in the winter here in the south

It could still be dark at 10 am and I wouldn't care. I want it to be light when I leave work all year long. I don't GAF what it's like in the morning. All I'm doing is sitting in an office then.

You say this until it’s the middle of June, 95 degrees, and the sun doesn’t set until 8:30. Might be an unpopular opinion, but during the summer I want the sun to go down as quickly as possible

I love it for the first couple months. I can mow in the afternoons, go fishing. But i know the heat is coming and I despise it.
