3 boneless skinless breasts at Walmart Saturday was $14 and change.

What is the recommended serving size of chicken breast? Google says 3-4 ozs. Each breast is probably close to a pound if you’re buying the cheap brand at Walmart. Let’s say they aren’t huge and it’s a 12 oz breast. That means you get between 9-12 servings for $14.

That’s roughly $1.50 a serving.

The size you gave was very specific so I kind of figured.

I am 6'2 though. So I have that going for me at least.

i just checked the price on sams club, its 2.88/lbs for skinless, boneless breast.

a pound is a minimum of 2 servings. he is right, you are wrong and the exact reason people are fat. they buy 3 huge chicken breast that are over a pound each and think that is a serving.

I wondered. 5'-10 is actually normal height for a dude.

Gotta go with the most common height when you are trying to grind some gears.

This thread is probably full of dudes that are 5'10 200, have a 36 inch waist and think they are skinny.

they don't think they're "skinny"... they think could stand to lose a couple pounds but they're definitely not fat

I don't know how big the chicken breasts were, but if they are the ones I'm thinking of, my wife and I usually split one of those for dinner.

Those fricking things are huge.

dude 8 oz is 46g protein. most people only need 3-4 servings of that each day to meet their needs and thats if they are lifting, less if not.

i mean sure as hell wont hurt to eat more but can easily fill those calories with something else.

you know this though and are just giving me shite, which i can respect

Well, being skinny is better for your health than being fat, so there's that.

I'd much rather be average.

If I was trying to play middle linebacker in the NFL I might try to increase my weight to like 240, but I'm not so I'm just fine being "thin" or whatever you fatties call it.

raises hand. and the guy who talked about positive feedback loop....yep, i was guilty of that. everyone kept telling me i looked fine and next thing i know i was 244 lbs at 5'9....once i couldnt tie my shoes without almost passing out, i knew it was time.

FTR a 36" wasit measurement around the naval is not that bad. its much much smaller than most people think and most people wearing a size 32 waist jeans would be close to that.

Yeah I'm with Mingo on this. Today's average is not peak health as it was decades ago.

I noticed the same thing coming back from Italy/Belgium/Netherlands. I don’t know if people over there are more attractive or just seem that way since they aren’t obese.

They walk/bike a lot for transportation and eat better quality food than we do and in smaller portions. That’s the answer.

Our problem is that we will never have cities set up like the Europeans do where everything is centralized and public transportation is actually worth the investment.

Actually, you are wrong. Nowhere in my post did I disagree, I simply stated prices.

Works great for me.

Not fat, not skinny, in good shape for my age and disease.
