Finally, after about 20 years, there are grass guys doing the grass cutting work that should have been done all along. A sidewalk has emerged from beneath the grass on the west side of the street. The tall grass was cut and instead of leaving it to ball up and rot, they are using a Bobcat to remove it. They are scraping the curbs. I am awstruck.

But then, I get to WalMart, (a private business mind you) and they can't even keep their grass or parking lot maintained.

Kudos to Coach Sid for making this happen. Shame on Walmart and the businesses that DGAF about how shitty they appear.

Walmart doesn’t own that shopping center. Landlord is responsible for the grass, parking lot, sidewalks.

OK, then walmart and the city should demand the landlord do it.

That's the public right-of-way not Walmart's property.

It is the owners responsibility to maintain that servitude. do you let the grass grow between the street and your sidewalk?

Only problem is they were doing it around noon on a Monday. A whole lane closed off that where traffic already backs up bad.

The job is not complete. Tons of bags that haven’t been picked up and clumps of grass are still hanging out on the median and neutral grounds. The sidewalk that was scraped wasn’t completely done and it covered in grass clippings. We can’t get out of our own way.

What is really happening is St George was showing how bad the city of BR was run. St George has been mowing consistently every 2 weeks all over. Was making coach Sid look bad.

Whatever works I guess.
