Not even close to Chick-fil-a.

fricking Wendy's has a better chicken sandwich than Chick-fil-A. CFA is the most overrated food in the south. It's edible, if you like soggy and bland.

I didn't say it was good. I said it's better than Chick-fil-A.

Which is why I laughed.

A popeyes worker told me they have always had the chicken sandwich, but just started advertising it recently is why it became so popular.

They have. I guess the spicy one is new.

I don’t understand the hype of this thing. It’s a damn chicken sandwich. Couple that with Popeyes shitty service, just don’t know how it can be seen as special.

In other words, it’s good, but I’m not sure why you would wait in a longer than typical Popeyes line for it.

Wendy’s is just seasoned with black pepper.

They were 3.99, I assume the price will remain the same.

Seems like that would be a central piece of the marketing if so.

Also, I get why they're doing it on Sunday, but that is rough on their workers considering how busy Sunday lunch already is at Popeyes.

It's the same sandwich except it has a nasty spicy mayo sauce. That's it. Nothing else, which pissed me off.

Why can't they season their damn chicken?

People who like tasty food are sheep.

Sheeple is a pretty fitting description for people whose behavior is heavily influenced by viral marketing campaigns and who will wait in very long lines for a chicken sandwich.

You don't seriously believe CFA stays so busy because of people's emotional attachment as a result of the so-called anti-gay stuff, so you?

I didn't say anything about gay stuff. I think people ate chick-fil-a as a kid, loved it, and haven't realized it's actually pretty "meh." The gay stuff is just icing on their soggy chicken.

The culture wars aspect is absolutely a part of why people are so loyal to CFA. Especially the people on TD. No doubt about it.

CFA sandwich is unequivocally the lesser of the two but the higher quality customer experience.

Clowns on here won’t even admit that the Popeyes sandwich is superior. If you prefer CFA for the service, loyalty, whatever, that’s fine... but you can’t honestly think their sandwich is better.

CFA sandwich isn't even in the ballpark of the Popeyes

But the CFA fast food customer experience is unmatched with only In and Out on par

And if Popeyes customer experience isnt last it's damn near.

And thats why overall picking a place to fill up on chicken sandwiches is a toss up.

The Popeye's sandwich was an ok sandwich, nothing special. It had no flavor. That is actually shocking considering how tasty their actually chick is (normally, not all locations). Their bun is too meh. Their chicken has too much batter. The pickles were ok, but I have had better. Can't add cheese or bacon to help it out. Their mayo sauce is garbage. Their bbq sauce is meh.

I won't waste my time getting a sandwich there. If I am going to there, I will get actual chicken or maybe the shrimp. Those are damn tasty!

This. It was greasy and made me feel like shite after I ate it.
