They do help ignorant people rationalize their preconceived notions and judgments...so that's good. We wouldn't want those people to actually think. Probably do more damage than good.

I agree.
There is a degree of truth in every stereotype.
However, extrapolating that degree of truth over an entire population is lazy and ignorant. And that is what 90% of this board does in every situation.

If you want be anhtnjng far removed from an apes half cousin or a brute, maybe some higher level thought and concept analysis and some understanding of more complex socio-economic, religious, and psychological concepts might help you move away from the jungle your thoughts and stereotypes failed to migrate from
