Does Baton Rouge have this type of establishment? Something higher end that caters to an older crowd?

Yep. That shopping center owner sucks for turning it all into a storage facility.

It's a chain restaurant of course but the bar in J Alexanders is pretty solid. It's mostly an older crowd (30s-40s) but a pretty decent place to grab a drink after work.

frick that guy. I remember he owned another big facility on airline or something. He made everyone get all their shite out in 48 hours or he was taking ownership.

He also refused to renew lease to Bigheads.

Did I say frick that guy yet?

It was 5 minutes from my house too which was convenient.

Always enjoyed J. Alexander's though I've not been in probably 5yrs.

If it was not parked right in front of the mall, I'd probably go more often.

Here are four places someone can go as an adult for drinks and not see flatbills or lizard skin ladies.

Overpass Merchant
MidCity Beergarden
Bulldog
Radio Bar before later night time (young crowd)

I work around there so we go grab a drink with vendors sometimes. It usually has a good after work crowd.

I used to go in there and have beers with my buddy fairly frequently. They used to have a pretty hot Asian bartender.

They also had a bartender named, "Cheeseburger" who was a hot little number that was sweet as tea
