Constance Fisher killed three of her children in 1954, was found NGRI.
I had never heard of that case. According to Wiki, she killed 3 of her kids, was found NGRI. She was eventually released back to her husband and had 3 more kids. She later killed those 3 kids, bringing her total count to 6. She was sent to an institution, escaped from it, and drowned herself in a river.
The difference, though, was Fisher really was insane (schizophrenia). Clancy has never been diagnosed with psychosis. The shrinks who treated her in the hospital (before the murders) said they saw no evidence that she was psychotic. You have to be psychotic to qualify for NGRI.

I already listed examples of women who spent less than 10 years in a mental institution after killing multiple of their children and being found NGRI.

This is WAY too high profile to let that her be in there that short period of time. There’s no way.
You are massively underestimating how many women view Clancy as some sort of heroic figure and the odds one of them is going to be involved in the psych updates that release her.

Maybe I am.
I can tell you that this has opened my eyes in some aspects of how far this world has fallen. It’s fricking disgusting.
I just can’t fathom a prosecutor, a judge, and multiple doctors releasing a person who killed multiple children who still has bipolar. That doesn’t go away. Especially after some of these examples we have to go by. The people who make the decisions are not TikTok lawyers.
If it happens I’ll be the first to stand on the picket line.

Finding her guilty puts her away for life. (Well until a lady governor commutes her sentence)
Insanity means she could be committed for many years. Or a few. Or not many at all.
Remember… despite the fact that she admitted to the killings and her entire defense team says she killed the kids… there are a not small number of people out there who think the husband killed the kids and “tricked” her into saying she did.
Odds are some of those women may one day be in positions to release her from commitment.

I get it. I’m taking a step back from my stubborn nature to always wanna be right here lol. Some of it is also me wanting to try to make the best of the situation. I don’t think it’s nearly as likely as some of you guys are thinking, but just the fact that it’s a possibility is scary. And I understand that. And I do want her guilty. It just doesn’t seem like that’s gonna happen unfortunately.

And in Massachusetts. She’s out in a couple years easily. Especially bc she clearly is not that insane and will immediately sound fine to these doctors analyzing her.

They're going to bring in "experts" that will testify that the cause of her psychosis, her children, are gone, and that she's no longer postpartum. After some dog and pony show hearings she'll be released because she'll be deemed no longer a danger. She intends on becoming a postpartum mental health advocate and completing a wheelchair marathon. Women are going to eat that up and make her the victim. Mark my words.
