Useless, corrupt and incompetent city government is trying to make it look like they are actually accomplishing something.

This whole clown show is creating so much more racism than it could ever have prevented - which is zero.

Straight up stupid. As mentioned earlier some of our first presidents of the US owned slaves. No one mentions there statues or names/ pics be removed from currency. The fact of the matter is that these liberal pieces of shite want to remove a past from a country that became stronger and although it took years started to reverse discrimination. Most southern soldiers and officers that fought in the civil war never owned slaves they fought for a cause. A cause that they were not going to be told what and when by the Union. These men were our relatives that fought ridiculous odds and 1000's died.

This shite has got to stop removing monuments of our past is not going to change the future. Removing the Confederate flag hanging in the capital of SC, I get but you start removing monuments of confederate generals from palaces that held these figures in the highest regards or removing confederate flags from Southern battlefields is just ridiculous. I guess this country is already going to shite anyway let's change our telephone to include 2 for Spanish,etc. Hell let's just let all the illegals in. Obama let's just give free shite away, Why work when you can get it for free. Rant over and fed up

At least the City Commission can now relate with Isis. They both have chosen to remove monuments they have found offensive or does not support their ideology.

That is my point. It won't stop. These monuments in our national parks and everywhere represent something to the places and people where they are located. It is part of the history of what made this country. If I am black oh well you don't like it don't go visit it. The great thing now is people can make that decision black or white. This isn't the 60's even though the media portrays it this way. There are blacks thriving everywhere why most have a good education or work hard. These few pockets of the black lives matter seem to think differently so let the CNN'S run with it

I believe this is the beginning of a reversal of the positive strides blacks have been trying to accomplish over the past years. I believe because of all the recent attempts at political correctness that whites are finally feeling that they must take a stand for themselves and the actions taken will begin to seriously effect how blacks and whites relate to one another in the future. It might just start serious conflicts similar to what we had seen in the past and it won't be pretty for anyone.

You will be amazed how fast they come up with the money so they can take down those symbols of hate.
