In the 1800's you were more of a traitor if you went against your state than if you went against the federal government. I don't think people today understand that concept.
Lee was a Virginian 1st and an US citizen second as was all Americans back then to their respective statehood.

I loved the black guy at the end saying he wanted to ship the statues and their supporters to England. Maybe he should be shipped back to Africa. I mean that would be more in lined with history than sending Lee to England.
