Maybe, rather than posting up 20+ troopers and Sheriffs at one spot all night, waiting to catch people frick up, they could give people rides to help them actually get home safe. It could be called Uber Blue.

yeah I've honestly never had a problem getting a cab anywhere when I've needed one

and I'm not saying Uber isn't a better service or anything. I've actually used Uber twice, but that's because I had 2 free Uber rides lol

I'm surprised the decrease isn't more tbh

It's probably proportional to the number of people driving drunk and getting caught. If DUIs are down by 10%, overall drunk driving is probably down significantly more.

can see it. some of our tailgaters use uber.

that's what I did this year. Dropped me off right at the law school. I really didn't have too many problems waiting to get rides after games either

Clearly someone has never tried to call a cab in New Orleans or Baton Rouge at 2am. Because no, they really weren't.

I REALLY miss the days of waiting 45 minutes to an hour for a smelly rude cab driver that would refuse to take a credit card.

I've never had a problem getting a cab in NOLA. Might take about 15-20

Baton Rouge cab service (at least when I was there) was horrible

There's still plenty of cabs in N.O. A study came out recently that said Uber has had a negligible effect on the number of cab rides annually, but that Uber rides have gone up almost exponentially.

In other words, there's basically nothing for anyone to bitch about here. It seems to be essentially a win-win.

But keep trying to find something I guess.

Then kudos for being the only person to ever feel that way.

I can honestly tell you that I'll never have a problem getting a cab in NOLA either, because I'll be using uber every time.

I had several night where they just never showed. Also several nights where they refused cab accounts or credit cards. Even more nights where they turned the meter off and charged 10 a head

hotel to the dome/arena, or dome/arena to hotel...times are dependent on game time/concerts

I've used a taxi to go from canal st to metairie before as well around 2-3am
