Detroit Free Press

Announced by Fiat Chrysler yesterday in their five-year plan that 75% of their capital investment over the next five years will go to Jeep, Ram, Alfa and Maserati. Investment in Dodge and Chrysler will be only 25% and only to make updates to existing models. Zero dollars in new model development or plant infrastructure for new models or complete overhauls.

First cars expected to bite the dust are the Durango and Journey. Too bad. The Journey is garbage, but I really like the Durango and was hoping to get an SRT version someday.

See, if Bama really was dealing out all of those Chargers to all the players/ recruits, Dodge would be fine.
So, it's just all been fake news.

Been saying what crap Dodge and Chrysler are 4 years yet I still get plenty of downvotes on this forum when I mention it.

I guess you can't fix stupid.

Ford is similar. They're scrapping a ton of models including the Ford Fusion. Just keeping trucks/suv's, a new crossover, and mustangs.

Chrysler was hurt by Mercedes purchase. They stunted their lines and growth.

When Mercedes took over, Chrysler was still dominating mini van market, and was growing in trucks, etc.

Mercedes came in, poached the 900Mil in cash Chrysler had, to purchase other companies, then basically let it sit and rot.

I’ve had the privilege of renting one a couple times and I thought to myself the engineers just said “frick it” and threw something together. Total POS

That's a 1980 model I believe. Back then mpg was a big seller due to the ME...

Can you imagine!

I’ll be purchasing a new SUV by the end of the year and had the Durango at the top of my list....

Maybe this will be to my benefit if they have a firesale on old inventory.
