I hope they work better than the AI Russian humanoid robot that fell flat on its face in front of Putin the other day during it’s demonstration

My exact thoughts. You can't just mimic human action. You have to perform a task with specifics in mind. That said, when the Tesla robot becomes available, I'll get one. It's a dream promised by SF writers since at least the 50s. Good, bad, ugly...I'm gonna get one.

Which is the point of my response. I figured someone would say just program him to pour more water. Which is also a issue


Unless they put a probe on him to stick in the pot to measure the water, it is not a task for a programmed robot. You need to decide the amount of water


Which is why we are still a long ways away

Every time they show these robots they are doing house chores. Not once have a seen one of them bastards start up the weed eater and get busy.
