China has at least two 2,000 foot tall unfinished and abandoned skyscrapers

This is becoming a sign of the times there as the real estate market collapsed, followed by trade disagreements between China and the world's largest consumer market. You've heard of China's ghost cities that are between 60-100% built out but are not inhabited:
But China also has at least two major, iconic skyscrapers that are abandoned before they were completed.
Goldin Finance 117 - The top floor would have been the second highest occupied floor in the world. This 1,970 foot tall tower has been abandoned since 2018.
Wuhan Greenland Center - This would have been China's tallest skyscraper at 2,066 feet. This has been abandoned since 2019:
Really fascinating to see this - both of the above two skyscrapers would be taller than any building in the US if they were completed.

real estate and development is the main vector that China uses to inflate the appearance of their internal economy

Latoya needs to go be mayor over there for when it collapses.

That one in Wuhan can be the new Chinese Bat Flu research center to cook up some new shite.

Yep. There has been a lot of useless stuff built in China, and all of the money spent on that useless stuff is part of their “amazing” GDP growth. As one critic said, “The USA could pay Americans a trillion dollars to have water balloon fights on the national mall, and it would increase our GDP by a trillion dollars. But what’s the point?”

If they didn’t kill their people they could fill them. Most of these are probably used for govt propaganda to show the rest of the world. They’re weirdos, eat bats and what not.

It’s been a long time since the US has had the world’s tallest building - or even close to it - after dominating the 20th century. I have been to the Burj Khalifa and Shanghai Tower (the two tallest buildings in the world) and they make the Willis Tower, One World Trade Center, and others look short.

Another fun fact that is entirely unrelated to China.
If you go to Egypt, you'll see a lot of 3-5 story tall buildings that have an unfinished floor on top.
The only reason that it is unfinished is that buildings that are not 'construction complete' are considered ineligible for property taxes.
There are also gigantic apartment complexes all over the desert that are completely uninhabited. The government promised everyone a job and a place to live. So they put the populace to work building apartments. The kicker is that they sell the apartments back to the populace at NYC prices. Nobody can afford them.

It's amazing how many massive cities are in China that hardly anybody here has ever heard of. How many average Americans had even heard the name Wuhan before 2019 and it's got 11 million people living in it.

Maybe they should hire Trump. He does claim to be a real estate genius.
