China has ENTIRE cities that are unfinished and abandoned.
They counted on the majority of global manufacturing to transition there by 2020.
It didn't happen. We're witnessing the largest financial collapse of a country in real time.

I have worked in China and seen first hand how they build things. NO WAY I would trust anything that tall that they built.

Really bummed about Wuhan Greenland Center. The cafeteria was gonna have like 8 different kinds of cereal and a Korean barbecue station.

Those things would look nice in Orange Beach...

Even the few buildings that are built properly over there are very poorly maintained. Their real estate market is weird AF. Most of the new developments that didn't go belly up are unable to cover their own maintenance expenses after 5-6 years. It's going to be really bad there when the structures built in their boom (1995-2016) start needing some major work.

I wouldn't want to go to the top of a skyscraper made in china

Yep, sounds like fun. But, can we wait until summer or at least late spring?

I saw a documentary on this recently, specifically around the real estate market over there, and have some super billionaire kept building and collecting money from the government and people for down payments….knowing he was never going to finish and people weren’t going to move in.

These ghost cities would be some of the largest population centers in the world if they were inhabited. And they built dozens of them.
