I know about half a dozen HIGH SCHOOL kids who only eat chicken nuggets/tenders and cheese pizza.

One of these kids' dad is a 'holistic' doctor. Blows my mind.

So I guess my next question is relevant to the thread.

How do you get a kid who doesn’t drink juice (only water and milk) to drink Pedialyte?

Intravenous if it gets extreme? I’m a parenting expert, not a doctor.

I find waving the gun around to be effective.

But, srs, no idea.

I tried calling it vitamin water but no go.

I’m about to pull out the Santa card.

Some kids are picky eaters. It doesn’t mean they’re not hungry

And forcing or starving a child can cause eating disorders later on

I don’t get why people don’t concern themselves with what’s good for their child’s future mental health. Bad parents can really frick somebody up

I love the guy with no kids telling people how to parent.

That’s like a Virgin explaining the difference between a blow job and pumping guts.

Situation in the OP is beyond picky eating. Surprised at the number of people in this thread that seem unconcerned that his only veggie is ketchup.

They must be millennials. They don’t know what they are talking about but demand their viewpoints be taken seriously. They’re a strange bunch.

It's completely reasonable to believe that a 5-year-old shouldn't boss their parents and pick their own meals. It's completely silly that, instead of agreeing with this reasonable stance, others in this thread are attacking the messenger because they are childless.

It's a ridiculous non sequitur. Being a non-parent doesn't mean you can't identify detrimental actions of parents.

I feel like I could have explained this pretty easily when I was a virgin.

My kids have basic diet. Tacos, burgers, steak, pizza, lasagna, chicken tenders, fish nuggets. They like grill ham/turkey & cheeses, pbj’s, yogurt, bananas, apples. Green beans and mash potatoes.

I’m somewhere in the middle of this argument. I don’t expect a kid to have an adults pallet, and since tastebuds change every 5-7 years, they’ll develop more to sophisticated foods as they age. But only eating a chicken nugget? Yeah frick that.

I watched my brother in law when he was a teenager eat 2 eggos for breakfast, a ham sandwich for lunch, and 2 hot dogs or 2 hot egg sandwiches for dinner for 5-6 years. Dude literally eats anything now.

The parents created that monster. I certainly wouldn't replace everything they won't eat with their favorite food. Sooner or later you'll end up in their situation.

That would be like my wife giving me a bj every time I didn't help around the house

It’s completely asinine to assume one knows everything about a child’s situation based on a perceived thought by some non-parent. But what do I know, I only have 2 kids.
