If I didn't want what my parents gave me I didn't eat it, but my parents didn't give me anything else to eat. Worked out fine for all involved.

Battling my two year old to eat. It’s an exhausting battle honestly.

I was at Popeyes the other night w my son In walks a family of 6-7. They proceed to rearrange the entire restaurant so they can sit together. Then they pull out a bag from Mc Donald’s for one kid. And s bag of Taco Bell for another. Then the two kids are allowed to pull out iPads and that was their night. My 9 year old even commented on it

my kid hates peanut butter so much. I force him to eat it so he can make gains but he always starts choking and holds his breath or something and gets all purple

My 4 year old has his days. If he wont eat what were having for dinner, he goes to bed hungry. No special meals are made just for him.

My 1 year old eats like a damn horse.

I hooked my brother and SIL up in September by heading out to OR and babysitting their 7 and 5 year olds while they went on an anniversary vacation. I was instructed before they left that the youngest only eats mac and cheese or cheese quesadillas. The first night I cooked up some of my special quesadillas with guac, pico, the works. Little guy whined that the way I cut the quesadilla didn't "look" right. I got in his arse and told him to fricking eat. He did but bitched the whole time. He's a picky, spoiled little kid but ole Uncle Mmmmbeeer did pretty well keeping him in check. I left feeling like he hated me but, really, I didn't give a frick.

That said, if I was his parent, I can easily see why it's easiest to just let him eat what he wants to eat. Who wants to have all-out battle with their kids every night?

Only takes a few nights if you stand firm and then you don't have to deal with that shite anymore.

Can someone explain to me how this is a thing? Was talking to a friend of mine who has a 4 year old and he was explaining to me that his son will only eat chicken nuggets, chicken tenders, and the like, and will pitch a fit if they give him anything else. So if they go out to dinner at a place without nuggets or fried chicken bits, they'll stop at a fast food place and grab him some and take it to the restaurant.

I looked at this mf like he had lost his mind.

Hey, I have an idea. If the kid won't eat his pork chops and demands chicken nuggets instead, then he's not actually hungry. Let him go a night without eating and those pork chops will taste better than any chicken nuggets he's ever had.

What the hell is wrong with parents?
This is adorable.

The answer is simple. If he won't keep his medicine down, then he gets to sleep in a bed of shite all night and learn to be a man.

I either ate what was served or didn't eat. When I got hungry enough, I ate.

I feel that we're completely glossing over that picky eating habits can result in nutritive deficiencies that may lead to anger issues and stunting of growth. Do you know who insists on eating the same exact thing every single day and throws a fit if his lunch is not right?

Asking for a friend, of course.

My kids have two options when it comes to the food their mother and I serve them.

1. Eat
2. Go hungry

As far as negotiations, that doesn’t happen since it’s a simple 1 or 2 option.

did you just make this up?

My son was a picky eater. He’ll eat anything now. He’s 6’1” and I can’t remember seeing him get angry
