Anyone notice that every other fast food chain has copied Chick-fil-A with saying, "my pleasure?"

Only $5-10k for startup costs though. The financial barrier to entry for a potential franchisee is essentially nil. No minimum net worth. The company pays for everything then leases it back to you.
What's the catch? Wouldn't everyone be running to get themselves a Chicken-fil-A?

I try to get them to slip up and say "You're welcome." instead of "My pleasure.".

Customer: Thank you

Chickfila Employee: You're welcome

Chickfila Employee: I...I...I mean... My Pleasure.

Right on! I love popeye's, but their service sucks. Disrespectful, lazy arse employees that act like it's the last place they want to be. Both races so don't start with the bs!

Yet the owner/operators make only about 150k

I think the managers make about that much, but the franchisees make much more.

Chick Fi A employees remind me of Disney World employees. Always nice, and very pleasant during interactions.

Chick-fil-A has an excellent training program. I know a lot of people who have their kids working there through school.

Taco Bell, from what I have seen at College and Perkins Locations, is doing this as well.

I am almost certain they have a bonus program tied to the little receipt surveys. They are always pleasant now and they all say Please fill out the survey and tell us about your experience.

Great idea that's not new by any stretch but it's been long taken for granted by operators.

wait, you mean customers don't like being greated with a salty attitude and verbal greetings such as,

help u! and, here's you order, next!
