I am not Ford, or Chevy. What I know is that the same year Tundra will still be running strong, after the Ecosuck & Tundra rip-off blow up.

6L90 torque convertors are weak. The only issue I'm seeing with the F150 trans is conductor plate and convertor shutter which is easily fixed. The 5.3 is a turd.

Yep I was one of them. Obama wanted praise for "saving" GM. No bro, you just started a new company with the same logos.

It's borderline moronic what truck guys fall for to get them to throw money away.

I’m a Ford man. You welfare dredging motherfrickers can blow GM and Dodge all you want, losers.

LOL at the ignorance

Ford's Bailout

quote:

Ford's Bailout Although Ford did not receive TARP funds, it did receive government loans. These were critical because banks were not lending during the financial crisis. It requested a $9 billion line-of-credit from the government. In return, it pledged to spend $14 billion on new technologies. (Source: "Ford to Congress: Keep $9 Billion Handy for Us," Politico, December 2, 2008.) On June 23, 2009, Ford received a $5.9 billion loan from the Energy Department's Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing program. In return, it pledged to accelerate development of both hybrid and battery-powered vehicles, close dealerships and sell Volvo. It upgraded factories in Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri and Ohio to produce hybrid vehicles.

My 5.3 has an 8 speed genius.

I believe this new truck gets a 10 speed.

Nice.

I am looking forward to seeing the Sierra, since that is what I buy.

Why do you say this? It has 355hp. In what universe is this a turd? It’s a little less than the other V8s but not weak by any measure.

Are those round wheelwells?
Must have finally hired a Ford engineer over there that convinced GM that wheels aren't square.

I really hope they keep the feature where the computer shuts off and the truck dies when you least expect it. I wonder how much they charge for that option.

Glad to see they're rounding the wheel wells again. Hated the square ones

Honestly it looks like it rear ended a bus. Don't like the way the front fenders appear to tilt upwards like they are smushed.

Looks like a bigger, taller Colorado to me from the size.

That's a good thing. The new Silverado looks great IMO.

True but irrelevant. It’s not what it is, but how it is...if that makes sense. Look at the design of the F150 headlight vs this one, they both have that weird cut out and blend into the 1/4 panel.

Yeah. Ford copied that from the Chevy Tahoe, and copied the horizontal bar in the middle of the grill from about 30 years of Silverado pickups.

You brand loyal guys make me laugh. I have an 09 Ram that I bought in 08. It has 135k on it and I've maybe sunk $300 in non routine maintenance into it. My dad has a 2011 F150 Lariat with the dreaded ecoboost and has over 100k problem free miles on it.

Most modern vehicles should run for 100k with nothing but oil changes and a new air filter.

Also, does that have a lift kit with 17" wheels?

Why does it need larger wheels?
