Front end is very F150 looking. Need to get a side by side though, might change my opinion.

Stacked head lights with horizontal elements across the grill have been a Chevy thing since the 1980s. If anything, the current Ford F-150 has a very Silverado-looking front clip.

I like how they have "Chevrolet" stamped into the tail gate instead of the bow tie.

Reminds me of the 1980s and 1990s C/K Chevrolet trucks.

it doesn’t look like F150 to me. Doesn’t have the low squatty look of the F150, with that awful chin scoop.

That’s because this is the off-road trim. I bet the cheaper trims will have a squatty look with the low front splitter like the F150. Purely a product of meeting fuel efficiency requirements.

So they will put Duratrac tires on their Z71 trucks?

They did that with the Colorado Trail Boss. That's awesome rubber.

It just looks like a slightly bigger version of the Colorado

The Trail Boss Colorado is an awesome truck. If this Silverado Z71 has that suspension, it should be an excellent off road vehicle.

I kind of want to see a Tahoe Trail Boss now.

True but irrelevant. It’s not what it is, but how it is...if that makes sense. Look at the design of the F150 headlight vs this one, they both have that weird cut out and blend into the 1/4 panel. Then the double bar across the grill, that’s almost identical to the current F150.

Not knocking GM for it, just saying that’s what it looks like. I’m sure the 2019 Ram will borrow some styling cues from other brands too.

At first I did not agree but after a second look, you are right. Both have a center grill, two headlights and a front bumper.

They don't look completely round to me...but definitely less exaggerated and bulgy than the current model.

They did a good job with this new Silverado. Looks great IMO. Can't wait to see other trim levels and color combos.

The F150 borrowed that styling element from the 2015 Suburban.

Not sure I like that very much.
