Closing ZeeZeee Gardens was the start of all of BR's problems.

Will Chelsea's have access to any parking? It is right behind Riverside towing.

If I recall it’s downfall was being classified as a bar vs restaurant and permitting based on revenue? Ironic that it’s now coming back as a bar.

Always enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Chelsea’s

The original Chelsea’s was wild!!! After it moved it was a great place. I had so many kick arse nights there.

I LOVED that place. Upset when it closed down. Good decision to open it back up.

Wasn't there a Chelsea's in Cortana Mall back in the 80's?

I thought that Chelsea’s (Street Pub IRRC) was in the front of Bon Marche. When the 2001 Disco was behind Bon Marche. I’ve had a lot to drink since then, so I might be mixed up. That Chelsea’s had great nachos.

It doesn't help Chimes Street or the feel of the area at all.

Chimes St has no parking. There are places there I’d love to go to for lunch but I can’t park so I don’t go. The parking has been the downfall of Chimes Street.

I thought it was a landlord issue. The owner of the "new" Chelsea's building didn't want to do much needed repairs on the building and then wanted to jack up rent. Rightfully, Chelsea's didn't want to play the game of more money for less building, so they closed up.

This is huge news for the BR music scene. Varsity's booking had gone downhill (before covid), and Spanish Moon has been closed, so there aren't really any places in BR for the more local and lower to mid-tier indie bands to play. If Chelsea's can manage to book the same caliber of artists that they did before, then this is great news. I saw tons of good bands at the old and new Chelsea's.
