Check in if your day/week/year was not ruined by an LSU football loss.

Yeah, it sucks bad when my team loses. But perhaps as a function of my advanced age and general apathy over almost everything, I am able move on. 10-20 years ago I was totally invested, traveling for road games, tailgating, allowing LSU football to dictate my mood and mental health for 3-4 months.
I didn't pay much attention in the days and hours leading up to the game.
Didn't go to a watch party. I worked in the yard and grilled some sausages and turned the game on at 6:29 and watched it with my son. Enjoyed some whiskey (too much) and went to bed.

I’ve had some dumbass moments after bad losses when I was younger.
Grew up to realize it’s just a fricking game. I was able to enjoy the rest of my evening yesterday and will have no problem getting through today.

Every team wants to go undefeated. I have problems with my team also. I'll get over it.

I'm already over it. If you're gonna lose, lose early and learn from it

I’ll admit I’m a little annoyed. You wait all year to watch the game and want your team to do well. But I’ll get over it and ready to watch the next game.

I’ve watched LSU teams snatch defeat from the jaws of victory for as long as I can remember that was no surprise to me.

Watched the game, brushed my teeth and crawled in bed with my girlfriend. Congrats on the sex. Went to sleep

Appreciate you being a adult about it... but you know that lost last night going stick with most of us all week... it's the waiting all summer to get back to business only to shite the bed... it's too early in the season for this..

I learned long ago not care about pro sports and the athletes that are paid to play a game beyond entertainment.

We'll never have a team as good as 2019. Really makes it easy to watch now for me.

I give myself about an hour or so to be aggravated and fume over posts on the rant.
By the next day I’m fully passed it. Life’s too short and real life don’t stop.

Yeah I don't care as much as I used to. I still enjoy the game, but I figured this was a 3-4 loss team before the season.

There must be some bad hangovers in LV right about now

It may sound like a melt, but I really didn’t care about football this year.
A weird feeling for me. I didn’t even read about it until last week. Usually I’d be excited all summer.
The game is just weird now

Woke up
Remember we lost
was sad/mad for a bit
Then forgot about it
But everytime I think about today I will get mad all over again
It’s a cycle.
Will last a couple days
More important to me is my daughter getting home safely from Vegas

We’re just not paying them enough.

I was livid, went on my scoreboard tirad and went to bed...woke up w my 2 year old which means no time or reason to sulk.... the sun rose in the east and me and him are playing/watching TV on the back patio. Tomorrow I'll go to work as director of a company that my LSU degree helped me climb the ladder of.... forever...L!S!U!

This was me yesterday. I’m in my mid-thirties now. Long gone are the days a game played by 18-22 year olds affect me much.
