It reminds me of when Louisiana fricked up and had wide open EBT cards for about 24 hours. Word got out, and all of the Wal-Marks throughout the state had folks lining up as many shopping baskets as they could with lobsters, Lays, and orange sodas.

The best part was the total mess from all the ditched carts once word got out the glitch was corrected.

You deposit a fraudulent check intentionally to withdraw the funds and it’s their fault not yours?

If I have $50 in my account but the bank allows me to withdraw $500 because their system glitches, that’s on them.

Payroll had his check screwed up and he was getting about $2k/mo more than he was supposed to get.

This sort of happened to me. A company that I worked for out of college had my over time rate wrong and overpaid me by a few thousand dollars over the course of a few months. They called me when they figured it out but they let me keep the money. My thought at the time was that I didn't do anything wrong and I didn't notice the error, so I felt like it would be bullshite to have to pay it back. I would have paid if they asked but I would have been displeased.

I understand that’s not how it works, what I’m saying is that the banking industry seems to be the only one, outside of the govt., that can screw up and their only answer is “oh well, your bad”

Its like when they screw up and put $30k in your account then you spend it. That’s not on me as the individual, that’s on the bank and they should be the ones to eat that.

What fricking idiot would see tens of thousands dollars in their checking/savings that they didn’t earn and decide the best idea is to take it out in cash?

Obviously it’s an error that will be corrected and they’re going to hold you accountable for the withdrawals plus any other criminal charges.

Idiots.

I had a dumbass steal my estimated tax payment check and then proceed to do a mobile deposit into her own account. Most criminals aren't bright.

Always use IRS DirectPay, king. No worry about theft or the IRS "losing" your check.

On topic, the retards participating in this "glitch" are morons that are already on handouts in some form or fashion.

Well a bunch of them will probably end up with felony wire fraud charges because they intentionally wrote bad checks to deposit and withdraw cash.

If Kamala wins the pres race all this will be forgiven.

Congrats on the overdraft fees?

Why are you blaming the bank for your lack of personal responsibility to manage your financial affairs?

Good luck to the idiots scamming ever getting another bank account. They will be flagged by the Federal Reserve and black listed thus preventing gubment cheese from reaching them. There is no “Right to Bank Accounts”.

The govt will step in and tell the banks to drop all charges against the perps and in exchange they’ll use taxpayer money to make the bank whole. Perps get free money

This was probably done on purpose so the govt can “save the people” from prosecution. Too many blacks leaving the democrat plantation to vote Trump so this is the scheme to bring their votes back to democrat

Why are you blaming me for the bank allowing me to withdraw 30k when I only have 50 in my account?

Both share responsibility, but only one actually bears it.

Trying to perform a fraud when they already have your name and information is just fricking stupid.
In 2009 this dude in Phoenix repeatedly was caught speeding by traffic cams wearing a monkey mask.

They sent 37 separate tickets to the address of the car’s registration and he told them that they couldn’t prove it was him driving.

I think he settled by paying one or two of them.

Wear a mask to the ATM, don’t bring your phone with you there, withdraw $, go back home and report your ATM card lost to the Bank.

Duh.

If you read your depository account agreement it will spell out the fees for these actions.

Beyond that, if you know you only have $50 in your account and have above room temperature IQ, you should know that taking out $30K when you have $50 is a terrible idea.

I'm not sure what point you are attempting to make here...

It was just straight up check fraud. Black people were suckered into thinking it was a glitch and the people that "showed" them how to do it took their cut of the money leaving many in the red.
