quote:Yes, but that rifle doesn't look commercial. There's what looks to be wear on the finish like a well used military rifle used in war. Of course, I'm looking at the same low res pic as you.
I mean, isn’t this basically every Remington 700?
They use a Mauser action right?

I hope you’re right. We need to catch this guy and bring him to justice.

That doesn't look like a Mauser or a long action rifle like a 30-06
Also, a horrible scope mount.

Front ring looks like a leupold ext ring.
Rifle is set up for small framed shooter with scope set back that far, LOP too long.

I'm seeing a lot of X posts now that are suggestion someone named Skye Valdez is the shooter.
Apparently this Valdez person had a Soundcloud song called "Charlie Kirk Dead at 31"

Here's another one you can say it to. A former "friend" on FB reposted this from Matthew Paul Turner:
quote:
Y'all, what happend to Charlie Kirk today is terrible and it shouldn't have happened.
But I think we should allow people a whole lot of grace and leniency to process this man's passing.
Sadly, he was not a kind person. He said hateful things about all kinds of people for years and years. When you spend your whole professional life trying to oppress people who don't think like you or don't look like you or don't believe like you, people are going to have lots of feelings should you suddenly pass away, even when your passing happens because of an act of violence.
After George Floyd died, Charlie Kirk called him a scumbag. Charlie Kirk raged agaist trans people. Charlie Kirk had some terrible beliefs about women and minorities.
[quote]I will never celebrate somebody's passing. That isn't me. I don't want it to be me.
However, I'm also not going to interfere or comment or judge how others process this man's death.

nah
That trigger with the holes looks exactly like the trigger on a newer Savage Axis that can be bought at Academy.

Sticking with my sporterized 1903 guess.
The scope mounting affirms that it is either the rifle that was used by a wacko loony toon soy boy OR was a plant by the deep state assembled by some stupid goober who has no idea how a rifle works.

that style trigger pull is on dozens of rifles aftermarket and out of the box.

Savage axis has a different bolt and a safety on top of the tang not on the side.

Don't think it's an 03 because it looks like some Bubba turned down the bolt (and did a really shitty job).

We need camps for Trannys at this point. All of them. Work them until they’re cured

Yea, it looks like the bolt has a little bit of forward cant to it
Here's my theory - weeny dick college kid ate up with political drama crap buys "sniper rifle" from pawn shop, cheapest scoped rifle on the shelf (because he's a broke arse weeny dick college kid), box of ammo, scope happens to be zero'd good enough from the ol baw that bubba'd the rifle up in the first place, makes "lucky" shot on political activist.
Is currently dead somewhere of self inflicted GSW or being momentarily protected at a fellow weeny dick college kid's residence.

do a google search for a M18 Mauser and you will find a synthetic stock rifle that's looks identical to the boxed picture. Its a current production sports rifle in the 850-900 dollar range, scope extra

That pic does resemble the guy in the security camera pic.

Doesn't that look more like a .308 action than a 30-06?
Looks too short for a long cartridge.
