Huh? I'm confused, when did Texas become known for neo-nazis?
There has been a large number of illegal Mexicans and blacks effected by this along with a decent sized Asian population.
Charlie Hebdo looks plain stupid here. It's not even offensive, just a major head scratcher.

People love to stereotype Americans as ignorant, but in my experience, europeans are worse. They don't know nearly as much as they think they do about the US.

There's some serious irony in a French magazine (even satirical) calling the country, that saved them from Nazi Germany, Nazis.

Well I was trying to be cordial - I think those type of people lack empathy for others who come from different Circumstances. Charlie hebdo is dumb and I really don't like the ideas and intent behind any of their stuff.
I'm not religious at all but if making fun of religious figures (multiple religions fall into their crosshairs) which are the basis of their entire lives is ok, classifying entire religions as violent extremists is ok, then classifying all texans as neo nazis is also ok - while also poking fun at Christianity a bit.

It's the rest of the people not directly involved who selectively decide this is crossing the line because it hits closer to home. While I'm sure it's in large part human nature - I find the scenario amusing.
Like I said earlier, I think it makes them look foolish, and loses a lot of their credibility. Especially in light of 1)The ethnicities of the dead/affected 2)their cowardice in going after people who will not do anything in return(because they obviously learned that lesson).
Its enlightening that they only go after the easy targets, in this case somehow mistakening minorities for nazis.

They made fun of muslims last week
LINK
- while classifying all muslims as terrorists. I really didn't intend for this to become a whole big back and forth thing.
This is just what Charlie Hebdo does and i don't find this particular any more offensive than their other stuff (i've somewhat paid attention to them off and on since the whole terrorist thing since i had never heard about them and was curious about what exactly they did - its all dumb and offensive and i don't understand how they are a publication or whatever you would call it)

I don't see the prophet anywhere in that cartoon, which is what they will no longer do.

ok, i didn't realize we were only talking about showing that image.
they still "go after" everyone and its all equally dumb and inaccurate. People were mad that they painted all muslims as terrorists last week and now they are mad that they painted all texans as neo nazis.

Odd given that Hillary Clinton carried Houston in the last election. But I guess since they're French they don't follow that too closely.

Its easier to be in favor of "free speech" when you only go after "nazis" who are actually dead minorities who cant say anything back.
Speaking ill of the dead is not a good look for anyone.

Yeah, because Houston is world famous for the Goose Step District, complete with annual Aryan Pride Parades, Nazi flags lining the streets, and its famous Holocaust Denial Museum.
Are these people out of their minds? I'm guessing the ones with balls and intelligence were killed by the terrorists years ago.

not a good look at all I agree - but that is par for the course. Others can and will disagree.

You're not too far off. The current cartoonist played dead while watching his coworkers get killed in 2015.

What a really $hitty thing to do! What pisses me off is that people in this country were genuinely sympathetic and fully in support of Charlie Hebdo after their staff was gunned down. A tragedy. Just like the 20+ people who have died as a result of a hurricane/storm/flooding. These arse clowns decide to rub salt in OUR wounds? Over what, a Neo Nazi punch line that had absolutely NOTHING to due with Harvey? I guess when these guys dare to inflame the Muslim extremists again the US will have "No Comment" when the shite hits the fan. I hope they aren't attacked but these idiots can't leave well alone...... You know what they say about Karma, Charlie Hebdo?

Does France have this? Pretty sure hate speech is a crime there.
Not that it matters, but placing constitutional protections on a foreign entity in a foreign country is tricky.
